Who runs this

一日一诗 is a free, non-commercial Chinese poetry and 成语 newsletter run by Ziyi in Singapore. Questions about your data: ziyiwuln41@gmail.com. I am the person responsible for data protection for this site.

What I collect

I do not collect your name, age, school, location, or phone number. Emails contain no open-tracking or click-tracking.

Why I collect it

Only to send you the daily email (6:00am SGT) and the weekly Monday introduction, and to let you unsubscribe. I will never use your email for advertising, and I will never sell, rent, or share it with anyone.

Consent

You sign up yourself, then confirm by clicking a link in a confirmation email. Nothing is sent until you confirm. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before signing up.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click stops all emails, and your address is deleted within 30 days. You can also email ziyiwuln41@gmail.com to:

I'll reply within 30 days.

Where your data is stored

These providers only handle your email address to run the service. They may not use it for anything else.

Keeping it safe

Your email is stored in a database that the public cannot read. Access is limited to me, protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. If a data breach ever happens that could harm you, I will tell you and, where required, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), as soon as practicable.

How long I keep it

Only while you are subscribed. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.

Content

Classical poems are in the public domain. Explanations and commentary are written or edited by me; AI tools may help draft some explanations, and everything is reviewed before sending. If you believe any content infringes your rights, contact ziyiwuln41@gmail.com and I will remove it promptly.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, I'll tell subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
